Greyhounds have been racing into collectors’ hearts

On a list of the fastest land animals, the greyhound is listed as the 14th fastest. A greyhound can sustain a speed of 39.35 miles per hour with a top speed of 45 miles per hour, which is faster than a mule deer. It is the speed of this breed that has made it a favorite dog among humankind for nearly 8,000 years.
