GLADWIN, Mich. — Thomas “Bud” Byrd was a lifelong gun collector and auction enthusiast. When he died, John Peck was proud to be trusted with the opportunity to sell the estate of his close friend. The quality and quantity of Bud’s firearm collection suggested that the estate be divided into two auctions: one for the guns and one for the rest of the fine items.
