Uncle Sam was a super hero in World War II comic
By Larry LeMasters Uncle Sam Quarterly was an original comic book publication, during the Golden Age of Comic Books, by Quality comics (acquired by DC Comics in 1956) that featured stories of superhero and spirit of America — Uncle Sam. Everett M. “Busy” Arnold, a printer, founded Quality Comics in the late 1930s when he saw the quickly rising popularity of comic books as a legitimate medium of the printed word.
