By Larry LeMasters Christmas has been celebrated, in different ways, for centuries, but it wasn’t until the 19th century that Christmas trees became a true part of the Christmas season celebration. Part of the reason for this may have been the danger of burning candles on dry tree limbs inside a home, but part of the reason was the lack of good stands to hold a Christmas tree.
